Photography Policy

The following rules apply to all photography at the Littleton Museum:

  • Please adhere to the Littleton Museum rules and policies as posted at the Museum’s entrance.
  • Photography equipment is limited to hand-held cameras and on-camera flash. Use of tripods, reflectors, off-camera lighting equipment, backgrounds, selfie-sticks, and props is strictly prohibited.
  • Photographers and their subjects must not impede the flow of visitors along pathways, boardwalks, or the entrances and exits of buildings.
  • Photographers and their subjects may not walk in garden beds, move potted plants, or otherwise damage vegetation by picking or cutting flowers, leaves, or vegetables.
  • Photographers and their subjects may not climb or hang from trees, sculptures, or architectural features.
  • Photographers and their subjects are prohibited from climbing, sitting, standing, or walking on walls, fences, farm equipment, or other structures.
  • Photographers and their subjects may not move or reposition benches, chairs, wagons, or any other farm equipment, furniture, or property.
  • Formal or posed portraits (senior portraits, engagement photographs, etc.) are not permitted inside the exhibit galleries or the interiors of the buildings located on the living history farm exhibits.
  • Photographers and their subjects are not allowed to enter livestock enclosures or disturb the livestock in any way, this includes but is not limited to feeding, petting, using loud noises or other attention-getting devices.
  • Videography of any type must be arranged with and approved by the museum director in advance.
  • Littleton Museum reserves the right to change its Photography Policy without advance notice.
